IN THIS LESSON
This exercise uses a limited color palette keyed toward the lighter, brighter colors found in golden autumn foliage.
Prepare for the exercise in this step by getting fluid puddles of color ready on the palette.
Many aspiring watercolor painters use too little water. Does this sound like you? The best advice is to use more than you think you should. The puddles show be very wet and flowy on the palette.
With all that water, it is easy to end up with washed out color. Be sure to use plenty of color as well. The best way to ensure enough color is to squeeze fresh color into the wells before you begin.
